Should the Indian Civil Nuclear Deal be passed?

I dont normally write on Politics and especially India Politics due to its complicated nature but with the recent Nuclear Deal making such a commotion in the newspaper i felt the need to write my views on the subject and so here is a opinion from a college going student who will be one of the main beneficiary’s of the Civil Nuclear Deal.
Firstly i dont see why the Left parties i.e the CPI(M) is making such a racket without looking at the ramifications of the deal closely from the behaviour of the politburo it looks like the left paries are just against it since its being backed mainly by the American Govt. which has a capitalist economy which is opposite to the leftist viewpoint.
Secondly the left parties seem to be contradicting themselves and big time. While being a party that should be following populist measures andbeing anti capitalist it seems to be a capitalist party in West Bengal recently what with its SEZ policy’s and the new Tata Factory coming up at Nandigram. And with the Chief Minister of WestBengal campaigning for more investments he seems to be a full on capitalist. NOT that i am against the recent measures but it shows the division among the ranks of the Left parties
.
The Left parties have been known for years to be some of the cleanest parties in the history of independent Indian politics since its members have maintained a low profile and are known for being honest and anti corruption. But in the last few decades the decline of the left has been gradually increasing it is hard to find new recruits who still stick to the left ideology.
I feel the American Civil Nuclear deal is a Boon for both India and other Nations too since it will not only fulfill India’s ever increasing need for energy as well make India a legitimate Nuclear power that does not have to be looked down upon as a pariah. Besides it will open new vistas for Indian companies like Reliance and Godrej and Tata.
What about nuclear testing
Well according to the act there is no specific qoute which says that the transfer of technology or nuclear fuel will stop. And India does have the right to test Nuclear Weapons BUT the context in which it does will be examined. Besides India can store a specific amout of fuel as a strategic reserve.
Should Manmohan Singh agree to the deal?
YES would be my answer…

Should the Left parties Shut UP???
